Waratah is a delicate soul who needs a gentle touch and a bit of time to reveal her affectionate personality. She may take roughly a month to build her confidence in a new environment, but once she feels safe and secure, she transforms into a purr machine, loving pats and even rolling onto her back for tummy tickles.

Waratah is initially cautious and may prefer confined spaces like igloos, hides, under the bed, and cabinets where she feels safe while she settles in. As she gains trust, she becomes an affectionate lap cat who adores human interaction. Waratah thrives when she has the opportunity to move away and find a secure spot when she feels unsure. Her ideal home will respect her need for space and provide plenty of cozy hideaways.

Having lived with cats in the past, Waratah may be able to gradually adjust to a feline friend, once she feels settled in her new home. Due to her initial timid nature, Waratah is best suited to a mature home without young children. An owner with experience or the patience to introduce a scaredy cat into a new setting would really help Waratah gain the confidence we know she has. She should be kept inside only, due to her flighty nature when spooked.

Waratah is a special girl who will reward a patient and understanding owner with endless love and affection. If you have the time, patience, and heart to give her the secure home she needs, Waratah will become your devoted and loving companion.
