Dana has spent the last six months learning what it means to feel safe, and now she's finally ready to take the next step into her forever home. This tiny girl arrived with her kittens in October, and while they've all moved on, she's taken her time building trust at her own pace. She's a slow-burn companion-never one to rush into affection, but quietly claiming her space (and her people) in her own way.
Now, Dana confidently roams her foster home, exploring every window ledge and sleeping at the foot of the bed most nights. She's not a lap cat, but she enjoys being near her trusted humans and absolutely loves to play-as long as you keep your end of the string! She'll sometimes allow gentle strokes along her back and tail, and she's even been known to enjoy a chin rub now and then. Of course, she does plenty of 'claiming' herself, rubbing her scent on toys, furniture, and door frames to make them officially hers.
Treats are the way to Dana's heart, and her love for licky treats (affectionately called "cat smack" in her foster home) has made her more willing to engage. She'll roll onto her back, belly on display-though, to be clear, this is a look-but-don't-touch situation! She may never be a snuggly cat, but she's showing signs of wanting more attention, even if it's snack-driven for now. With patience and understanding, Dana will continue to blossom, and she's looking for a quiet home where she can keep growing at her own pace.
