The Dog House Australia is a heart-warming TV show, produced by Channel 10 and filmed at our Kemps Creek shelter in Western Sydney. Each week, the episodes showcase the people, from all walks of life, who come to Animal Welfare League NSW in search of the pawfect dog to complete their family.
In the show, you’ll watch how our Animal Attendants care for pets in the shelter; keeping them happy, stimulated and feeling safe, while they wait for their forever homes. There are smiles, laughter and tears of joy when dogs find the perfect home after waiting so long.
You’ll see how our hard-working and dedicated veterinary staff treat the sick and injured; how our vets and vet nurses make sure animals are healthy and ready for their new start to life.
You’ll hear about how Inspectorate investigates allegations of cruelty and neglect, rescuing animals from desperate situations. You’ll hear some of the heart-breaking stories of how these poor animals arrive at our doors. You’ll also feel the joy of seeing them matched with a family who simply adores them; who will give them the love and life they deserve.
Everyone at Animal Welfare League NSW is proud to be a part of The Dog House Australia and showcase our vital work to the public. The dogs in each episode are just a small handful of the animals we rehome, rehabilitate and care for every day. We believe every animal deserves a loving home and we hope you enjoy seeing how we get them ready for that special moment when their forever family walks through our doors.
